The Rock Prairie Master Gardener Association, located in Rock County, Wisconsin, is the 42nd association of the Wisconsin Master Gardener Program.

This blog is used to distribute timely information to association members regarding volunteer opportunities, MGV highlights, and other social tid bits.

Horticulture related information is to be directed to the Horticulture Educator or the Plant Health Advisors.

This blog is not for garden related questions.

Agenda December meeting RPMGA

Agenda for Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 5:30 P.M.

Meeting Location Education Center, Rotary Botanical Gardens

Palmer Drive, Janesville, WI

  1. Start meeting at 5:30 P.M. sharp with welcome and check-in. 5 min.

  1. Agenda review: Additions, deletions and approval.

  1. Review minutes of last meeting: Additions, deletions and approval.

  1. Reports:
    • Financial Report

  1. Old Business:

o Action item - Consideration of approval for expenditure: Purchase of one of two ReCap created “Petals” wooden flowers at Sept. 19 auction. Allocation of funds not to exceed $150 was proposed by Jenny Membrino during Sept. 2 meeting, to be voted on at next regular meeting.

o 2013 WIMGA Conference Planning

o Mission Statement

  1. New Business:

o Guidelines for Program Sponsorship – Mike Maddox

o What should go on the agenda, what should not, and why.

o Committees – Set a date for discussion group. Outcome will be put on Jan. agenda for a vote.

o Projects for 2011

o Mid-Winter Classic/Fun Day – Planners, Deb G. and Mary Kay

o Thursday Evening at Rotary Gardens – Mary Kay Coordinator

o Garden Festival – Deb G. coordinator

Next meeting will be held at the Education Center, Rotary Botanical Gardens, Palmer Drive, Janesville, WI, Jan. 6, 5:30 pm followed by Networking from 6 to 7 pm.

Please note: Networking will follow the December meeting from 6 to 7 pm. This is the time to present your volunteer ideas and projects. It will be accompanied by a Cookie Exchange organized by Jenny Membrino. Bring your cookies! And a few extra for munchies! Coffee and hot chocolate will be provided.
