In the last two weeks I've had several conversations regarding kids, play, obesity, and horticulture therapy.
In response to all of these questions I propose a holiday reading assignment, Richard Louv's Last Child in the Woods.
Find it. Read it. And I'll try to pull together a discussion group later in February or March. Those participating might find a few continuing education hours thrown their way, too.
Rock Prairie Master Gardener Association members volunteer in cooperation with University of Wisconsin-Extension to provide research-based educational and community service opportunities to its members and the surrounding gardening community.
