Free Soup
On next Tuesday evening January 24th, RBG will be hosting the first of our three Volunteer Soup Dinners from 5 pm until 7 pm at the Parker Education Center. It's not too late to RSVP with the gift shop (by Monday!) at (608) 752-3885 (extension 0). This is for all current and potential volunteers and is meant as not only a "get together" but will include some discussion about plans for 2012. We encourage past volunteers that are interested in getting "re-connected" to consider attending any and all of these! I'll be giving a presentation at each of these three events and will talk about new collections for 2012. On Tuesday, I'll talk about Japanese Gardens that I've visited and will certainly talk about ours at RBG. Mark your calendars for the other two Volunteer Soup Dinners as well. On February 28th I'll talk about Gardens of Philadelphia and on March 27th, I'll do a fun Rotary Gardens Historical Retrospective. RBG appreciates our volunteers and hope you'll consider joining the family for 2012! Top photo is the Japanese garden at the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens (San Marino, CA) and below are the waterfalls at Anderson Gardens (Rockford, IL).
