The Rock Prairie Master Gardener Association, located in Rock County, Wisconsin, is the 42nd association of the Wisconsin Master Gardener Program.

This blog is used to distribute timely information to association members regarding volunteer opportunities, MGV highlights, and other social tid bits.

Horticulture related information is to be directed to the Horticulture Educator or the Plant Health Advisors.

Lily Walk

A large contingency of  Walworth County MGVs joined us for our June tour of Blooming of Beloit.  In exchange, they have invited Rock County MGVs to join in their July Lily Walk, details below:

He is a retired Professor from DePaul University and a world renowned hybridizer of lilies. He grows more than 10,000 hemmerocallis.  Several which Klehm's Song Sparrow and Wayside Gardens sell. His liliums are of great interest.  I really love the guy.  Look him up for more info for your group. He is out in the country surrounded by corn fields.

As a reminder, there is no July meeting or education program in Rock County so this is another good opportunity for continuing education.
