Learn about Therapeutic Horticulture, what it is, and how you can employ the principles for a happier, healthier life. Also discussed will be applications to special populations, research, funding, and community gardens as well as specific benefits for the mind, body and spirit. Four case studies will round out the presentation with a short foray into horticultural therapy results for the Senior Enabled Community Garden Project. We will address enlisting help from organizers of community gardens, and embedding people with disabilities into a community gardening scenario with people who garden traditionally, to make the garden accessible and sustainable for all and to create a healthier, happier community.
