This blog is used to distribute timely information to association members regarding volunteer opportunities, MGV highlights, and other social tid bits.

Horticulture related information is to be directed to the Horticulture Educator or the Plant Health Advisors.

REMINDER - FREE - Green Roofs and Rain Gardens this Thursday!

Hello, everyone!

Just a reminder that the RPMGA is hosting a field trip to Beloit to view two green roof installations and a rain garden this Thursday.  The green roofs are the Neese Memorial Rooftop Garden at Beloit Hospital, and the Beloit College Science Building.

Date: Thursday, June 11, 2015

Time:  9:15 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m.

Location to meet:  Rock County Job Center, 1900 Center Ave., Janesville.

Essentials to bring:  A shady hat, sunglasses, water and money for lunch.

This is a FREE field trip.  The only cost to you will be transportation (we are carpooling) and lunch.

This is an educational opportunity and those who attend will be awarded Continuing Education Units (CEUs) based on how long we are at the locations.  (CEUs are awarded at the rate of  1 (one) per hour.

No need to sign up, just come and enjoy!  Hoping to see you there!!
