The Rotary Botanical Gardens' bagged, blended mushroom compost sale begins this Saturday, April 2nd from 8 am until noon. This compost is composed of aged horse manure and peat moss and has been blended/shredded with bark fines. We use over 200 cubic yards (bulk) of this in the gardens each year as a soil amendment and mulch. Bags are 1.5 cubic feet (between 40 and 50 lbs.) and are $5.50 + tax. RBG members receive 10% off. This sale will continue every Saturday (same hours) in both April and May. Check out the RBG website (www.rotarybotanicalgardens.org) for information on this sale and our looming tree sale, Earth Day activities, spring plant sale, lectures, workshops, fall symposium, etc.
Rock Prairie Master Gardener Association members volunteer in cooperation with University of Wisconsin-Extension to provide research-based educational and community service opportunities to its members and the surrounding gardening community.
