Upcoming Opportunity
Although our spring symposium is full, we still have room at the Friday night (March 25th) "Meet & Greet" event. Held at the BASICS Cooperative in Janesville (6 pm - 8 pm), this event will feature a talk on "Heirloom Vegetables" by Doreen Howard, one of our symposium speakers. Doreen has a new book coming out this year on this topic and is very well known for her writing and photography. Jeff Epping from Olbrich Botanical Gardens and Ed Lyon from Allen Centennial Gardens (UW-Madison) will also be on hand. There will be all sorts of snacks, beverages and wine! The fee is $10 and any one interested can RSVP with me (Mark Dwyer) at (608) 754-1779. Hope to see you there. Shot above is of 'Silverado' Swiss chard (Beta vulgaris).
