It's a chance to see community supported agriculture (CSA) in action and to get a feel for a larger scale of production than the home garden.
Soil Sisters is located online at:
https://soilsisters.wix.com/soilsisters
We start at a farm/B&B that gets it power from wind and solar.
Our second stop is a winery with a tasting room.
Then you can choose from any one of the six other farms on the tour.
You can bring a guest - or several.
You can bring a picnic to eat anywhere along the way. Lunch is also available at several of the farms.
Items for sale at the various locations include produce, eggs, meat, wine, canned items, crafts and books. Bring a cooler if you plan to buy perishables.
There is no charge for the tours.
We're meeting at 9:45 a.m. at the west end of the Sunnyside Shopping Center on West Court Street in Janesville. We'll be on the road in time to arrive at the first location when the tours begin at 11:00 a.m.
Hope to see you there!
P.S. Use the Soil Sisters Passport to qualify for gifts.
