Just a reminder that this coming Monday at 5:30 pm we'll be hosting Winter Sowing with Joanne Franzene at Basics in Janesville.
We'll start at 5:30 and end about 7pm.
Joanne has presented this program before and has continued to increase her knowledge of this unique seed starting method. We are looking forward to tapping her expertise so we can learn to do it too.
This is a hands-on workshop so wear comfortable clothes that might get dirty. It is an approved continuing education event. All MGVs will earn 1 Continuing Education Unit (CEU) per hour of participation.
Bring at least 1 clean gallon jug (opaque or clear), seeds if you have some you want in particular (and we'll have some for you as well).
We'll have:
- instruction handouts,
- extra jugs,
- potting soil,
- permanent markers,
- duct tape,
- scissors,
- utility knives,
- paper towels,
- and of course, seeds.
Basics Cooperative Natural Foods is located at 1711 Lodge Dr., Janesville. We will be in the Community Room. Just come in the front door and you'll see the door to the Community Room to the left. Bring friends and neighbors!! We'd be glad to have them!
