Today is Day 3 of Master Gardener Volunteer Week
For today we are featuring one of the hardest working master gardeners in the Rock Prairie Master Gardener Association - Deb Grams. Click on the link below to read an essay she was kind enough to write for us on why she does what she does as a Master Gardener Volunteer.
Deb's main focus is the RECAP and community gardens out near the corner of Hwy 51 and Hwy 14 in Janesville, but she also does lots and lots more. She's a regular volunteer speaker. I've worked with her on talks on houseplants, pollinators, seed starting and more. She's the treasurer for the Rock Prairie Master Gardener Association. She's part of the advisory group that takes care of the "business" of RPMGA, and helped revive RPMGA after it went inactive six or so years ago. She's helped arrange tours and talks for all of us to enjoy. I always enjoy her company. When I moved here from the Milwaukee area and was looking for a group to join, meeting Deb a Garden Fest was a big part of why I chose Rock County. Because, it seemed like a fun group.
ReplyDeleteThanks for everything, Deb!
