May Opportunity

Don't forget the RBG Spring Plant Sale occuring on May 14th and 15th from 9 am - 5 pm daily. RBG Members are invited to a pre-sale on Friday, May 13th (also 9 am - 5 pm) and receive 10% off all purchases during the entirety of the sale. This sale will feature over 100 varieties of vegetables (plants) including heirloom tomatoes, hybrid tomatoes, bell peppers, hot peppers, compact vegetables, etc. There will also be over 80 varieties of herbs and 60 varieties of tough perennials. Bagged compost and all sorts of other goodies will be offered too. We'll also have a tent where customers can pot up their own veggie/herb combos (with assistance) using their own containers or those provided by RBG for a fee. The vegetable lists are on our website.

We are also in dire need of volunteers to help assist with this sale, particularly out in the yard as loaders/helpers. On each of the three days (May 13,14,15) we have three shifts [8:45 am - 11:30 am, 11:30 am - 2:30 pm and 2:30 pm - 5:15 pm]. If anyone is interested in helping with the "pot your own container" tent, let me know too. We're having a hard time recruiting volunteers and really hope you'll check your schedules. Think of the benefit of scoping out your purchases too... Email me or call at (608) 754-1779. Thanks! Mark D.
