Looking for a few good PHAs

Although the growing season is winding down, bugs and diseases are still busy creating problems in our lawns, landscaping and gardens. For those out there who love the challenge of figuring out what's up in the melon patch, we have just the opportunity for you.

Become a Plant Health Advisor. We operate under the aegis of the UWEX, out of the office on the second floor of the Rock County Courthouse. The work is challenging, but it is a great way to fulfill our mission to educate the public.

There are great educational opportunities through the UWEX to expand your knowledge, an online class that prepares you for the real thing, a library of reference materials at the office, and lots of good Internet resources through the UWEX and other universities.

If research is your thing, this is a perfect way to use your skills, both as a Master Gardener Volunteer, and as a researcher.
