Slots To Fill

Hey Gang. The 13 Annual Fall Plant Sale is looming on the calendar and is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, September 10th and 11th, 9 am until 5 pm daily at the Horticulture Center. RBG Friends Members are invited to a presale on Friday, September 9th from 9 am until 5 pm where they will receive 10% off all purchases that day and throughout the duration of the sale. The mums seen above will be featured as always, but so to will hundreds of perennial varieties, ornamental grasses, pansies, kale, spring blooming bulbs, gardening tools, obelisks, gardening tools, bagged compost, etc. We hope you'll come support the gardens and patronize the sale. I have extra posters promoting the sale at the Horticulture Center if you have a place to post them and help "spread the word." Email or call me with any questions.

We are in need of volunteers on all three days of the plant sale. We have openings for cash register assistants (veterans preferred) and yard helpers. Lori Ebneter, RBG volunteer coordinator, has the the master sheets for sign-up slots. Each day is broken in to three slots (each about 2.5 hours). Please call Lori at (608) 752-3885 extension 20 or email at lori.ebneter@rotarygardens.org to sign up. We are also tagging plants on Sept. 7th and 8th from 8 am until noon at the Horticulture Center. RSVP with me if interested in the tagging opportunity. We appreciate all past volunteer support and plant sale patronage! This is an important fundraiser and all proceeeds benefit the continued operation and development of RBG (and my salary). Come join the fun and put on an orange vest.
