A Timely Topic; Ornamental Grasses

The next topic in the Rotary Botanical Gardens lecture series will be on Ornamental Grasses next Wednesday evening, September 28th (6 pm - 8 pm) at the Parker Education Center. This program is free for RBG members and $5 for all others. No RSVPs are required. Given by Nancy Nedveck, co-owner of The Flower Factory Nursery (Stoughton, WI), this program promises to be educational and fun. What a great time to talk about grasses as they become significant role players in the late summer and early fall garden. Come early and tour the gardens and then enjoy Nancy's well-known expertise on this topic. The grass above, incidentally, is blue oat grass (Helictotrichon sempervirens 'Sapphire Blue') with golden meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria 'Aurea') in the background (RBG Scottish garden).
